Last Saturday was a super fun time. There were a lot of reasons why, but I’m not going to go into all of those today. The one thing I’m going to focus on was our photo booth! We don’t do photo booths often, but it’s always a blast when we do. This crowd really got into it. Not everyone wants a photo booth, so I thought I’d share 7 reasons to have a photo booth at your wedding.
7 Reason to have a Photo Booth at your Wedding
There’s nothing worst than being at a wedding where everyone is bored and not doing anything. Most weddings have dancing, but not everyone is into that. A photo booth is another opportunity for your guests to get up, act goofy, and have fun.
Photo booths are known for being silly, so it’s the perfect opportunity to let loose. You can grab a prop and a friend or loved one and be crazy in front of the camera. That’s so much better than just sitting in a chair all night.
2. Photos of people there
The people that are at your wedding are important to you, but it’s very hard to talk to all of them or get a photo of everyone. The photographer is going to try hard to get photos, but having a photo booth will really help out in capturing everyone. Most of the of the time you’ll have anywhere from 2 to 10 people in a photo!
3. Something to take home
People want to remember your wedding, and a photo booth is a great way to send them home with something. Most photo booths have a printer, so you can print off a strip or a 4×6 for each person. I’ve seen these posted in people’s offices, rooms, and on the fridge, so I know people like to have them.
4. Can be Used as a Guest Book
These prints can also be used as a guest book for the couple. Often, they will print out an extra copy and stick it in a book. Then the guests write a note next to the picture. It’s so great! You get a goofy photo of people and then a nice message as well.
5. People meet and interact
I’m not normally an outgoing guy. I won’t just walk up to a person I don’t know and start a conversation. A photo booth, though, helps people interact and meet new people. I’ve seen the bride in groom in the booth, and then a ton of people just pile in. This makes talking to these people so much easier. You never know, you might find your new best friend or even the person you’re going to marry!
6. They aren’t expensive
Most things at a wedding are expensive. Photo booths tend to be on the lower end of the cost spectrum. The costs can range from $300 to $1000. Let’s go for something in the middle, maybe $500 for 3 hours. That’s so cheap! If just 100 people go through it, that’s $5 a person to keep them happy and entertained, and to send them home with something.
7. Don’t take up much space
Most photo booths don’t take up much space. Ours might be on the bigger end and it is roughly a 10×10 area. The great thing about ours is we can fit so many people into ours while others might fit 3 or 4.
Is a Photo Booth Right for Your Wedding?
Photo booths aren’t for everyone, but they can be a great addition to a wedding. For the cost, it is one of the best ways to really pump up your wedding for everyone and to capture a lot of the fun. If you have any questions about our photo booths, feel free to ask.
