One of the first things a couple looks for is the wedding venue. It’s where everything will take place and will be the backdrop for all the photos. Fayetteville is getting to be a big city, so it’s hard to find a place in Fayetteville that has that natural beauty to it. The Mount Sequoyah wedding venue has that plus so many other great options for a wedding.

Mount Sequoyah Wedding Venue

Mount Sequoyah is a community space that is used for weddings but also for all other types of retreats and camps. The great thing about that is it has so much to offer. The overall space is quite big, so you can spread out or do things in many areas. There are multiple cabins, so this is often used as places for the bride and groom to hang out and get ready, but it could also be places for guests to spend the night.

Near the cabins, there is an outdoor ceremony site. There are several rows of benches that could fit around 200 people, and at the front, there is a stone alter??? covered with ivy and at the top is a cross. All of this is surrounded by trees, so it creates a very peaceful atmosphere.  If you’re looking for something inside, there is a chapel as well. It doesn’t hold as many people, but it’s still a great option.

Mount Sequoyah’s biggest plus is its view. Right past the ceremony site is a giant cross and a view of downtown Fayetteville. It’s extremely beautiful and people come there all time to just take in the sight. This is one of my favorite places to do couple portraits. You can get the cross in the background and the sky. It’s really something to see.

For the reception, there is a large event building that is a large open space with a stage. There’s plenty of room for tables, food, and a dance floor. I’ve also seen couples have the reception outside of that building in the open, grassy area.

So many wedding venues are limited by space or the look of the surroundings. The Mount Sequoyah Wedding Venue is lucky that it has plenty of space and a beautiful backdrop. I’ve done several weddings there throughout the years, and it is always a wonderful and fun time!
